Student Research Initiative

The Student Research Initiative puts undergraduates on live research projects and works toward getting their names on the results.

Students engage in the design, data collection, analysis, and writing process in order to present and publish original work. In addition, they gain experience in writing an abstract, presenting to a room, and explaining their own work to someone deciding whether to hire them.

The first cohort started in Fall 2026.

Students at Mississippi University for Women can join through the research and statistics sequence or by writing directly.
